Quote from Albert Einstein

According to this conception, the sole function of education was to open the way to thinking and knowing, and the school, as the outstanding organ for the people's education, must serve that end exclusively.

If you finish your degree, how will this contribute...

This morning I was cleaning up my room and digging up some old stuff from school. I happened to read my essay before entering in the college of communication arts.

I remember before writing down, I was thinking about the 1,000 words requirement, not so much with the thought of the content but as I went along, ideas just came in with a dedication to write it.

I am going to share to you a little bit of my answer.

The question goes like this:

IF YOU FINISH YOUR DEGREE, HOW WILL THIS CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, TO OUR COMMUNITY, YOUR WORKPLACE, SOCIETY AND COUNTRY?

Education is the key to success. If I finished my degree, I believe this will contribute a big role to my personal development in a way that  will build my self-esteem and self-confidence. It will further for my self-improvement. I will have a positive attitude by applying motivational principles on daily basis. I will not  hesitate to open up my ideas and implement it, to be able to perform my task at a higher level and achieve the success I desired.

In our community, it may be a tool to be able to share my knowledge by developing better communication in my neighborhood. Because I believe, acting on community level through communication, giving practical communication at the right time is a start to develop a better country.

It may help me organize action-oriented activities and recognized programs from government or NGO's such as quality health and good human services to rural residents. It will also contribute in persuading people to participate in community for capacity development. In that way, I can be a help in poverty-reduction in our community.

In my workplace, it will contribute to my intelligence in everyday interaction with team members and employers by showing how to motivate and resolving conflict in any case. It will also enhance my credibility to use my reasoning and emotional appeal to persuade people.

In my society, it will be able me to initiate alternative effort to fight unemployment and generate economic growth. In this changing society, stepping forward to be a better citizen should be performed.

I will practice what I have learned from this course and I won’t rely on theories only but will actually start on doing it and get results.

Lastly to my country Philippines, it will lead me to  a sound research and keen analysis on how to be a better citizen and to gain a better understanding in daily existence and truly help my country in my own little ways.

Truly enough, I have finished my course and I hope to live to this statement possibly in my daily encounter not only in words but also in deeds.

The Advantage of Online Education

You can finish your ever dreamed college degree without going to school.

If you are an undergraduate, a college drop-out but working already; and you want to continue it but can’t find enough time to go to school because of the demand of work and distance perhaps.

You can take an alternative way in getting a college degree. Take the alternative way of distance learning.

The concept was introduced in the Philippines since 1988. It was patterned after "open university" concept that is well established in Canada, Australia, United States and Asia.

Although thousands of students responded to this concept but there are still unable to adapt the concept.

If I were a student today or a working person today I would take this opportunity to finish my degree. Not only that, I can also get a masteral degree in any field I want.

I was once an agent of this concept because it is my advocacy that people will take time to study even if they are working. I find it so hard to sell the service because of the concept of Filipino to go to traditional studies. They love going to school without considering that they can save a lot more in terms of money and time if distance education be regarded.

If they are told to continue their studies they will just answer back that they don’t have time to go to school anymore and they can’t leave their work.

The target market of the said service is the working people who don’t have enough qualification in their field so they have a way to be promoted. They need to upgrade their educational attainment.

There are teachers from the province who would like to take a masterals but unable to do it because of insufficient fund. Think about the travel expenses, time and other expenses.

With this concept, masteral degree would be easy for them to achieve.

This concept is duly recognized in CHED Commission on Higher Education. You can check on their website at http://www.capcow.com/

You can choose from different undergraduate courses or you can continue the last course you’ve taken.

It is the best way to earn your college degree without leaving your work or home. Counting the expenses incurred in transportation, the time and money in everyday. You can save a lot.
